Red light therapy

As I continue to find new and innovative healthcare solutions for my patients, I am bringing Red Light Therapy to my practice to treat many medical and cosmetic conditions.

Many of you may have heard about Red Light Therapy, which uses light-emitting diodes (LEDs). One way to describe how Red Light Therapy works is that it acts on the “power plant” in your body’s cells called mitochondria. With more energy, other cells can do their work more efficiently, such as repairing skin, boosting new cell growth and enhancing skin rejuvenation. 

Red light therapy may work in skin health to:

• Stimulate collagen production, which gives skin its structure, strength and elasticity.
• Increase fibroblast production, which makes collagen. Collagen is a component of connective tissue that builds skin.
• Increase blood circulation to the tissue.
• Reduce inflammation in cells.

Red Light Therapy is being used to treat the following skin conditions: Wound healing, stretch marks, wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, facial texture, psoriasis, rosacea, eczema, scars, sun damage, and acne.
